Infineon to attend electronica 2024

Sunday,Nov 03,2024

At the upcoming electronica 2024, Infineon Technologies AG will demonstrate how its innovative solutions are driving global decarbonization and digitalization, showing how semiconductor products pave the way to a net-zero economy and unleashing the full potential of artificial intelligence. From November 12 to 15, Infineon will focus on its rich product portfolio at booth 502 in hall C3 and provide opportunities to communicate with Infineon experts.

Andreas Urschitz, member of the board of directors and chief marketing officer of Infineon Technologies, said: "Decarbonization and digitalization are key drivers for a climate-neutral future. Semiconductors contribute to the green and digital transformation in many ways and are at the heart of every connected application. At this exhibition, Infineon will show how our leading technologies and innovative solutions can help meet the core challenges of this era."

World's first 300 mmGaN wafer

Infineon will present its latest technological breakthrough to the public for the first time - the world's first 300 mm GaN wafer technology. This major technological achievement will greatly promote the development of the GaN power semiconductor market. The application of 300 mm GaN technology will not only enhance existing solutions and application areas, but also open up new solutions and application areas, create greater value in a more economical way, and fully meet the needs of customer systems.

Shaping the future of transportation

Infineon is committed to developing innovative solutions to promote the transformation to environmentally friendly, safe and intelligent transportation. Infineon products and solutions exhibited at this exhibition include: new AURIX™ TC4x microcontrollers that support the implementation of future-proof E/E architectures and software-defined cars, main inverter CoolSiC™ kits, battery management system solutions, on-board chargers using GaN, steer-by-wire system solutions, and H2 sensors for fuel cell applications.

Greener and smarter buildings and homes

Semiconductors play a vital role in developing smarter and more sustainable living spaces. Based on advanced technologies of silicon carbide (SiC) and GaN, Infineon can maximize the efficiency and reliability of energy production and consumption. With advanced sensors, power semiconductors, security solutions such as OPTIGA™ Trust, and microcontrollers such as PSOC™ Control, Infineon is bringing intelligent automation to modern homes and commercial buildings while enabling efficient use of green energy. The company's booth will showcase comprehensive system solutions, including various solar inverter topologies (microinverters and string inverters), as well as demonstrations for optimizing power and increasing heat pump output.

Efficient and reliable way to achieve edge AI

Semiconductors also play a key role in realizing the greater potential of AI. With Infineon's solutions, customers can quickly, efficiently and at scale deploy new AI applications. Infineon's rich products, software, tools and services support energy-efficient data centers, smarter devices and optimized AI edge applications. Demonstrations include high-performance, low-power AI microcontrollers from the PSOC™ family, advanced sensors from the XENSIV™ portfolio, as well as vertical power module architectures, advanced liquid cooling modules and power supply units for AI data centers.
